These terms apply to the Snake Identifier app and this website. They are offered by Nikolay Strikhar ("we"). By using the app, you accept them.

The app

The app is licensed to you under Apple's standard licence agreement (Licensed Application End User License Agreement); where these terms and that agreement differ, Apple's agreement applies.

What the results are

Identifications are generated by an AI model from your photo and can be wrong. A result is never a reason to touch, handle, move or approach a snake, and it is not a statement that a snake is harmless or venomous. If someone is bitten, call emergency services right away. For pest control, wildlife or medical questions, ask a local wildlife service, a herpetologist or a doctor.

Premium

Some features need Snake Identifier Premium, sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store. The price and period are shown before you buy. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. If a plan starts with a free trial, it turns into a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its terms.

What you send

Only send photos you have the right to use, and do not use the app for anything unlawful. You keep your rights in what you send; you allow us to process it only to give you the result.

Our content

The app, its texts, pictures and code belong to us and are protected by copyright. These terms give you a personal right to use the app; they do not transfer any other rights.

Liability

We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever the law does not allow liability to be limited. For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an obligation essential to the contract, and then only for the typical, foreseeable damage. We are not liable for decisions you make on the strength of a result. Your statutory rights as a consumer stay unaffected.
