Terms of use
JewelID · Last updated: 2026-10-16
These terms apply to the JewelID app and this website. They are offered by Nikolay Strikhar ("we"). By using the app, you accept them.
The app
On iPhone and iPad, the app is licensed to you under Apple's standard licence agreement (Licensed Application End User License Agreement); where these terms and that agreement differ, Apple's agreement applies. On Android, the Google Play Terms of Service apply alongside these terms.
What the results are
Identifications of metals, stones and hallmarks, and value ranges, are estimates generated by an AI model from your photos. A photo cannot test metal purity or tell a natural stone from a lab-grown or imitation one. They are not a professional appraisal, a gemological report or an offer to buy, and they can be wrong. Before you buy, sell or insure a piece, have it tested by a jeweler or a certified gemologist.
JewelID Pro
Some features need JewelID Pro, sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store or Google Play, and possibly as a one-time purchase. The price and period are shown before you buy. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. If a plan starts with a free trial, it turns into a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings or in Google Play. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms.
What you send
Only send photos you have the right to use, and do not use the app for anything unlawful. You keep your rights in what you send; you allow us to process it only to give you the result.
Our content
The app, its texts, pictures and code belong to us and are protected by copyright. These terms give you a personal right to use the app; they do not transfer any other rights.
Liability
We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever the law does not allow liability to be limited. For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an obligation essential to the contract, and then only for the typical, foreseeable damage. We are not liable for decisions you make on the strength of a result, such as a purchase, sale or price. Your statutory rights as a consumer stay unaffected.
Changes and contact
We may change the app and update these terms; the date above shows the current version. Questions: nikolaystrikhar@gmail.com.
